Really.I mean really over it?Did you know when people say things like:I'm over it,I don't care, they usually mean the exact opposite.
Men can get by quite happily being overweight.But we women really DON'T like being overweight or "cuddy "as we sometimes say.
Most of us feel uncomfortable,unattractive,gross and fat when we gain extra pounds.But there is something about going on a diet.
We don't envisage the end results,we only see plates of lettuce, bean sprouts and downing glasses of water.
I remember going on a Weight Watchers diet years ago and I was really excited one day when I read I was allowed a cup of pineapple chunks.
In New Zealand pineapple chunks are chocolate coated pineapple flavoured sweets.What a let down when I realised it meant real pineapple chunks.
Oh well that's dieting.There are many 'Magic" weight Loss diets,pills and supplements most of which are expensive.But come on girls. We know there is no secret to losing weight other than stitching up your mouth and eating through a straw!
To lose weight you have to be motivated to going the nine yards that it takes to start losing.It is and always will be about eating less of the crap food,more of the good stuff and some form of exercise.
To get motivated it pays to get a diet or weight program that will get you motivated and in the mood for going about losing weight and a form of exercise that inspires you to do it.
It doesn't have to be running 10ks a day or doing 100 sit ups.But regardless it will take some participation from you if you want to succeed.
I know all the downsides and upsides to losing weight.It is not about going on an eat less campaign to get to a goal weight then stopping. It is life long.
FACT. If you have put on weight then sure as eggs you will always put on weight as soon as you veer off right track.
There are some people who have a high metabolism rate and they can burn off the calories fast on a daily basis.It is these people who look as good at 55 as 25.(Don't you just hate those types).
They are the lucky ones and chances are they also eat quality foods.
So let's face facts.Reality is, cakes+sweets+the nightly glass of wine + all the good things in life=unwanted bulges.Solution.Yes you know.A diet.Pooh.But there it is.
