subject: The Mad Hatter's Wedding Shower [print this page]

One of my closest friends just got married yesterday and if only you could see the way her eyes twinkle out of excitement and happiness, you may wish to get married soon, too. I played a part in her wedding's preparation to make sure that the huge day is an enormous success. I also organized her wedding shower a week before. I must admit that I had a hard time thinking of a whole new concept that would drop jaws, I also consulted the soon-to-be bride for any idea inputs to make sure the wedding shower shall be something she'll personally like aside from the wedding ceremony and the wedding reception afterward.

She said she preferred something comical and something that is childish in a way that would certainly not look like children's party. At first I thought to make it a princess-themed wedding shower but it is too predictable to have a princess-themed wedding shower and this type of party is normally for not so big girls. I don't want to destroy her guests' expectations and I want them to see the wedding shower the way they notice the bride-to-be like an individual in general.

What traits does my friend have in common? Well, according to my experience, she is really funny, crazy in numerous ways and she prefers tea parties. I couldn't think of virtually any other personas that appear like those characteristics other than the Mad Hatter from Alice In Wonderland. Why not? I never have heard of somebody come up with a Mad Hatter's Tea Party-themed wedding shower yet why then not start?

I promptly told informed the bride of the idea I developed and she loved the idea in an instant. She said she desired to pursue part in the preparation but I informed her to depart almost everything with me. I desired her to just take it easy and to just relax. I do not want her to get troubled a lot of on specifics even before her wedding day.

The first thing that I had to consult was the internet. I had to look for pictures of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party and that's where I will be basing almost everything fro. Starting from the various types of cups, saucers, teapots, kettles, the interiors and all. I had to make sure that the details were as close to the Mad Hatter's Tea Party as possible. The next thing I had to arrange was the menu. There probably won't have too much fancy food in it since it's supposed to be a tea party but I also had to make sure that the bride and her guests won't pass out of hunger.

What goes well with tea or coffee? Pastries and sweets, certainly. With that, cupcakes undeniably built it on outstanding of my list followed simply by the ever-longed for at any party dubbed as chocolate truffles. It would likely be quite expensive to serve numerous dozens of chocolate truffles to each and every guests so what I did was I had to put it in larges dishes at the far stop of the table. Every single chocolate truffle has a tag that says "Eat me!" and partnered it off with the drinks in bottles with tags that says "Drink me!" similar to it is in the movie "Alice In Wonderland".
