American Idol season 4 winner Carrie Underwood, married NHL Ottawa Senators star Mike Fisher at a extravagant, private ceremony held at the Ritz-Carlton in Greensboro, Georgia on Saturday July 10th and film of the wedding pictures are in high demand. This luxury resort, located 75 miles east of Atlanta, sits on shimmering Lake Oconee and is known for it's tranquility.
In front of approximately 250 guests consisting of family and friends, the Fisher-Underwood nuptials, which included classical music and the couple's favorite Bible verses, took place near the lake under a tent. The bride wore a Chantilly lace gown designed specifically for her by Monique Lhuillier. The couple kept their wedding location undisclosed to the guests, who were directed only to a specific U.S. airport where they were then picked up either by private jet or limos and brought to the Ritz-Carlton.
In a further attempt to keep out the paparazzi, the road that led up to the resort was closed on Saturday to anyone not invited to the ceremony.
