subject: The Timeless Beauty Of Appalachian Vineyard Flooring [print this page]

Are you looking for hardwood flooring that looks beautifully timeworn? If so, you will be pleased to know that Appalachian Flooring has released two stunning collections. They are Appalachian Vineyard and Timeworn.

There is something completely unique about antique hardwood flooring. Perhaps this is due to the knowledge that it has carried the footsteps of many previous generations. Apart from its classic beauty, this type of flooring transcends all eras and will grace any home, modern or traditional.

The Vineyard collection is distinctive in its unusual staining procedure. It accentuates the natural grooves and rings of hickory, maple and birch woods. What you get is a sparkling surface of timeless history.

If you want a floor with a rich, deep look in equally rich colors, the Pomerol fumed birch is an incredible hardwood in shades of burnt sienna and umber. Unlike others in the Appalachian collection, this type is obtainable in four-and-a-half inch planks. If you prefer light colored flooring, the Chablis maple is ideal with its butterscotch tone. The Chablis is available in 6 inch planks.

The Timeworn collection is obtainable in hickory, oak and maple, and also features an amazing range of burnished woods. Every plank is sculpted and beveled by hand which gives them an elegant soft appearance. You can choose from no less than 18 colors in the Timeworn collection.

One of the most beautiful in this range is Autumn Vista which is made of maple. It has a satin-smooth appearance, and a copper color that brings to mind fallen leaves to mark the change in seasons. Another hit is Morning Blush in rich red with a touch of burgundy. All planks are available in widths of 4 inches, and each is one inch thick.

When you are ready to make your purchase, it is recommended that you consult with an accredited Appalachian dealer. He or she will be able to recommend someone who will lay the flooring correctly. The dealer can also give you advice about choosing the right color for your home.

Hardwood flooring may be more expensive than other types, but it has many benefits. Not only will this type of floor make your home beautiful, but it is extremely durable. The money you initially outlay will be a good investment because you will not have to replace the floors for ages. They can last for more than 100 years!

Hardwood floors are far more practical than carpeting. Cleaning is easier because you just need to sweep it every day to get rid of the dirt. If you prefer, you can vacuum the flooring. To keep the floors looking at their best, mop them once a week.

Wooden flooring absorbs and retains heat so in those cold winter months, your home will be warm and cozy. Perhaps the biggest advantage of Appalachian Vineyard flooring is that it will add a whole lot of value to your home. When the time comes to sell, any prospective buyer will be more than impressed with the floors. This is always a huge factor when trying to sell a house.
