subject: How To Choose Wedding Shoes For Your Style [print this page]

1 Choosing your wedding shoes based on the venue

Supposing that you are going to hold your wedding on the garden or beach, then just stay away from the stelitoes that are easy to sink into the soft groud. These days many flat wedding shoes and even flip flops are popular for wedding as they are more trendy and comfortable. If you want some height, look for a wide, broad heel or wedge.

2 Take the formality of your wedding into consideration when shopping your shoes. As casual weddings like beach wedding and garden wedding now are prefered by the brides, fancy flips and flats best will fullfil this mission and will become the new trend. But formal gowns and big churches call for something as classic as a pump or sling back. Embroidery, crystals and other embellishments up the formal factors as well.

3 Your wedding shoes must compliment your gown. Suppsoing that you bought a lace hemed wedding dress or one that has lots of embellishment at the hem, youd better go for a simple but elegant wedding shoes so that the shoes willnot contend with your dress to get the public attention. But on the contrary, hemlines with little or no decoration look fabulous against the shoes with lots of sparkle or flirty bows tied over the vamp.

4 No matter what you are going to wear on your foot, comfort couldn't be overlooked. Your wedding is not the time for you to show off your four inch high stelitoes. As you are going to stand on your shoes for nearly a whole day, the best choice is to to for one that you feel comfortable in it and you can make sure the shoes are able to support you for a whole day. The right wedding shoes are going to make you feel confident as well as beautiful.

5 Consider the season. While anything goes in warm summer months, closed toe styles are best for cooler weather. If you really want to show some skin in chilly weather consider a peep-toe or a mule or sling back with a closed toe.
