How to Create a Budget

Do you want to be able to see how much real money you earn? Do you want to be able to start a budget? If so read on, and learn how to create a budget. The first step to take is to calculate all the expenses, receipts, and bills. Pile these all together and start writing them down in a column on a piece of paper. Most all budgets come down to one thing and that is saving money. Saving money starts with defining important goals. What are you looking for in a budget? Saving money? Setting up savings? Getting out of debt? Before everything, define your goal and stick with it. Next, you will need to divide your budget into different categories. This means writing down food, car, house, land, property, medical, savings, and other things. Then, you would need to list your expenses or your spending into these categories. Add all your categories and total the amounts.

Now, next to all the expenses list down how much you earn. This might be a deposit, check, or money received from past customers. From this subtract all your expenses. The ending balance is how much you made, or your net income. If you lost then it would be net loss. The advantages to having a budget is seeing how much you make on a monthly basis and how much expense you have. A general rule is to have expenses less than income, that way at least your making money. Now if all this bores you you can hire a bookkeeper or a CPA and pay him or her money to compute your budget. That is probably the last thing people do on their list.
