subject: Fat Loss Factor - What Is The Real Fat Loss Factor? [print this page] If you are overweight and have struggled to lose the fat, then I'm sure you've gone to extreme lengths to try to get rid of it. You may have tried the infomercial junk, such as abmachines, ab gadgets, training DVD's, pills, potions and miracle diets, but nothing works!
Why is this? It does not follow the 3 fundamental fat loss factors. The three fundamental fat loss factors are essential for successful and maintained fat loss, and maintaining your weight after you lost it.
I will briefly explain the 3 fat loss factors and how they help promote healthy and simple fat loss, without tricky dieting, or dangerous supplements.
Your nutrition is one of the 3 factors. If you do not have your nutrition in check there is no way you will lose fat. You cannot out train a bad diet. Your nutrition should be controlled and have a good mix of proteins, carbs and healthy fats with each meal. Try to eat more frequently, 4-6 times per day and prepare food before hand.
Strength training is another essential part of fat loss. Strength training helps promote a stronger body and more muscle. Muscle is metabolically expensive tissue that needs energy to run. The more you have the faster your metabolism will go. It also burns a lot of calories after a workout session.
Cardio is the third vital ingredient of any fat loss program. You will need to do at least some kind of cardio to help burn off the fat. This is important. You do not need to do 60 minutes per day like many programs suggest, but you can do 16 minutes of cardio 3 times per week at a high intensity using intervals to gain more benefit. This has been proven to burn up to 9 times more fat than steady state, long cardio... And in my opinion it is a lot more fun!
As you can see, if your current fat loss plan does not follow the 3 essential fat loss factors your efforts will be wasted and you will not lose the fat like you would like.
I recommend investing in a complete program that can show you how to eat properly, step-by-step, as well as what exercises to do at what times for how long, step-by-step so all you have to do is "get to work". No complications or having to think about what to do next. It's hard enough to stick with a fat loss plan, but having to make it up yourself is even more complicated! Save yourself the effort and pick up a good program to work with.
