Normal masturbation frequencies differ from gender to gender and age to age. Men masturbate more frequently than women, and younger men masturbate more than older men. It is not uncommon for a young man in his 20s to masturbate every day, and even several times a day, depending on hormone production and lifestyle. A healthy sexual behavior, masturbation is a common practice by many men and women of all ages.

Benefits of Masturbation

Masturbation relieves stress and tends to be beneficial for your brain chemistry and circulatory system. Men who ejaculate more than five times a week are less likely to develop prostate cancer since frequent ejaculation keeps sperm healthy and prevents older sperm from accumulating unhealthy chemicals. In conjunction with your partner, masturbation can be a healthy form of foreplay or alternative to intercourse.

Over-masturbation does have some negative effects, though, affecting the nervous system, genitals and general sexual health.

Positive Non-Sexual Effects: - Masturbation relieves general stress and tension. It brings on a sense of relaxation and induces sleep. Another benefit of masturbation is the relief of headaches and menstrual cramps.

Symptoms of the Masturbation: - Other than immediate needs for a towel or tissue, the effects of masturbation upon the male body were:

1. Fatigue. Feeling tired all the time

2. Lower back pain

3. Thinning hair / Hair Loss

4. Soft / Weak Erection

5. Eye floaters or fuzzy vision

6. Groin / Testicular Pain

7. Pain or cramp in the pelvic cavity or/and tail bone

Sexual Effects: - Men who over-masturbate often have problems . Further, obsessive masturbation may be offensive to your sexual partner and as it may be seen as a substitute for seeming unsatisfactory intercourse. Frequent sexual activity masturbation or intercourse and also creates a surplus of sex hormones and neurotransmitters in the brain. With an excess of these chemicals, you may feel fatigued, and some men report weaker erections over the long term.

Physical Effects:-Men who do masturbate too often report abrasions and trauma to their penises. Urologists also report that men who masturbate often develop a curve to their penis. Some men use masturbation techniques that are in fact abusive to the penis, such as using hard surfaces or by forcing the penis to bend. These techniques can cause future erection problems.

Negative Side Effects: - Medical community concurs that there are no negative physical side effects however some people may develop guilt from the act due to their religious and/or cultural background. Also, compulsive masturbation may be a symptom of an obsessive/compulsive disorder if it interferes with a person's daily life.
