Scent of a Woman will be on Encore West on Dish Satellite TV. You may have already seen this movie as it was released back in 1992. This movie is a classic which makes you want to watch it over and over again anyway! Al Pacino delivers one of his best acting performances ever in this film. Chris ODonnell (Batman Forever) plays the student who is hired to look after Pacinos character Frank while his family is out of town.

Scent of a Woman presents a heart-warming story about a lonely, retired army colonel named Frank Slade who has lost his ability to see. The Colonel is adamant about having a student baby sit him while his daughter and her family are out of town, so he decides to coerce him into going for a ride to the city in a limousine. The young man comes from poverty and needs to make the extra money while on break from school. He doesnt argue, but keeps a very close eye on Frank. Frank educates Charlie on how to court a woman and describes what he likes most about them. The two learn so much about each other during their short time together and bond the ever-lasting friendship theyve both always been missing.

Al Pacino won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Actor that year. The film won two other Golden Globes for Best Picture of the Year and Best Adapted Screenplay.
