Udaipur has become one of the favorite tourist destinations. It has received lots of recognitions in 2007 because of it many attractions. Experience an extraordinary vacation in this beautiful city.

Many people nowadays are in constant search for unique tourist destinations worldwide. They save money to plan a most memorable dream vacation. Many countries see this as an opportunity to promote and attract visitors to their land. Udaipur in India is known to be the city of lakes located in the state of Rajasthan. Some of the beautiful lakes are found in this city such as Pichola Lake, Fateh Sagar Lake, and many other more. In addition to this, plenty of Rajput palaces are also seen, one of these is the Lake Palace that almost covers the island in Pichola Lake. In 2007, Udaipur was rewarded to be the second to the best city in Asia and ranked as 7th all over the world.

Tourists and visitors continue to flock the city because of many places of interests. One of them is the City Palace Udaipur. It is found at the eastern portion of Lake Pichola and has seen several times of renovation since it was built in 1559. The palace balconies provide splendid views of the whole palace and its surroundings.

Then there is also Lake Palace Hotel, a luxury hotel built in 1743-1746, made of marble and an excellent place to go during summer moths. Tourists go here even if they are not checking in, just to get a glimpse of its beauty.

You can also go to Jag Mandir found in Lake Pichola. Jag Mandir goes back to the 17th century, the time when Emperor Shah Jahan lived here when he hid from his father. This attraction is now with a beautifully decorated courtyard. You can take group photos here as souvenir.

Take a trip to Pratap Museum (also called City Palace Museum) for some sense of historicity. This is where antique paintings made by Mewar (the one who built Taj Mahal), glass and mirror works are displayed. There are a whole lot of important antique sculptures, inscriptions and artifacts also of the ancient period.

This museum is so huge that is divided into many pavilions and halls. Each division has a unique theme that makes it helpful for visitors when touring the place.

Other attractions worth seeing are the Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, and Maharana Pratap Memorial (also Moti Magri). The Sajjangarh Fort is a summer resort where they collect water the whole year for their consumption.

The Sukhadia Circle is a well-known recreational and meeting place, and a famous landmark of Udaipur. This is where families and other groups of people gather especially at night to enjoy music and eating and drinking foods and drinks being sold in different stalls. Children can play here by making toy boats to float on the pond.

The Jagdish Temple is at the heart of city of Udaipur, one of the main tourist attractions as a major monument. It has a touch of Indo-Aryan architecture. The Udaipur Solar Observatory is Asia's only solar observatory found in the center of Lake Fatehsagar.

You can take your children to Gulab Bagh and Zoo. It has a library containing a compilation of ancient handwritten manuscripts as well as books.

There is also the Our Lady of Fatima, Nehru Garden, Ahar Museum, Bagore-ki-Haveli, Fateh Sagar Lake, Lake Pichola, Saheliyon-ki-Bari, Dudh Talai, Shilpgram (a village expert in arts and crafts) and Neemach Mata Temple, for some educational and relaxing trip.
