2.8 MILLION RENOVATION OF HOLMAN AUTOMOTIVE'S BY MILLER CONSTRUCTION

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Miller Construction Company has completed the expansion and renovation of the Audi Pembroke Pines dealership in a $2.8 million project for owner Holman Automotive Group.

The dealership remained fully operational throughout the renovation, which was completed this summer, according to Miller President Harley Miller. "From the showroom interior to exterior finishes, this project rebrands the dealership with a new and dynamic look," he said.

Holman Automotive Group changed the former Lincoln Mercury facility at 15000 Sheridan Street in Pembroke Pines to an Audi dealership last year. The facility is the first of Holman's 10 South Florida dealerships to market the Audi brand. In the building's substantial renovation, Miller gutted the showroom, curtainwall and some of the exterior structure and added 2,000 square feet of space.

Phased construction ensured there was no interruption to automobile sales or service, said Miller, whose company has met similar renovation challenges for busy hospitals, retail centers and mixed-use facilities. The firm's craftsmanship, which has won dozens of awards through the years, was key in constructing other automobile dealerships for luxury brands Mercedes and Porsche.

"Miller Construction Company has exceeded our expectations in providing a unique dealership brand while maintaining ongoing dealership operations during construction," said Bob Bamonte, Facilities Development Manager for Holman Enterprises.

The Audi project's challenges included constructing a curved wall as focal point for the showroom. Sloping from ground level to 15 feet in the air, the wall suggests the feel of a car racetrack. A highly detailed metal panel system for the exterior building skin, plus interior ceiling finishes featuring fabric and metal, added to the renovation project's complexity.

Founded in 1973, Fort Lauderdale-based Miller Construction Company is a prominent design/builder and construction-services firm for the commercial, healthcare, educational and industrial markets. For more information, visit www.millerconstruction.com.
