Does the Crack The Fat Loss Code Diet really work?

That's of course the question most dieters want to know, but first, let's take a look at The Crack The Fat Loss Code Diet and its tenets.

How it works

The premise behind the Crack The Fat Loss Code Diet is that in just eight weeks, you can take weight off and keep it off for good by in essence "reprogramming" your body so that you're burning fat instead of storing it. You also focus on healthy eating that's not going to induce hunger, instead eating foods that will keep you full and satisfied. Finally, the Crack The Fat Loss Code Diet also promises that there is no more "dreaded diet plateau," and that weight will come off and stay off for good, easily and healthfully.

It's all about avoiding "starvation mode"

The thing is, starvation mode is a real thing. Historically, our bodies are set up to prepare for famine, which means that when we drastically cut calories (as most diet plans do), our metabolisms respond by dropping significantly, therefore preparing us for "starvation," in that we can survive it until famine has passed and food is plentiful once again.

Unfortunately, while this was great for our ancestors with their cycles of plenty and famine, it's not so great for us and instead simply hurts our ability to lose weight. Our metabolisms stay down, we resume normal eating, and presto, we gain weight even more easily than we did before.

So, the Crack The Fat Loss Code Diet addresses that by constructing an eating plan that's called "macro patterning." You basically constructed eating around a routine of "carb down," "carb up," and baseline days. This is based on what exercise science research has found, which is that it'll take three days to use up glycogen stores in muscles.

Therefore, by going on a very low carbohydrate eating plan for the first seven days, your body reaches into those glycogen stores and uses them up. Thereafter, three other cycles of the diet add carbohydrates back into your body gradually, so that you won't go into starvation mode.

Finally, the Crack The Fat Loss Code Diet addresses that dreaded "diet deprivation" most of us experience, by building in days where you can simply cheat. That is, you can indulge in foods you love with no guilt. Once you're past the most restrictive cycles of the program, too, no foods are totally off-limits.

There are some drawbacks, too. It's a very easy food plan to follow, but it may be difficult for the eight weeks that are recommended. It's not particularly helpful for vegetarians, and it's very restrictive of carbs especially in the first few weeks. However, you don't have to count calories, the plan is quite flexible, you really can lose weight, and it works with our bodies, instead of against them, in storing and utilizing energy (namely, fat).

Does The Crack The Fat Loss Code Diet really work?

It does; you really can lose weight and keep it off with this plan. However, you're not going to find this diet very attractive at all if you're a vegetarian, and you'll have to be very strict with yourself during the first few weeks of the program especially.
