Lewis Tregonwell also built themselves a summerhouse. and also began to plant many hundreds of pine trees, making a gorgeous sheltered walk to the beach, , which later gained the name of the Invalid's walk.
Since the early days Bournemouth's popularity, as a tourist destination, has ceaselessly increased, and, the city of Bournemouth is widely known as a tourist haven for entertainment, fun, culture, leisure and recreation. Places which prove very popular to visit include; St. Peters Church Graveyard, the award winning Central Gardens, Bournemouth Pier and the Russel-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum.
