How To Stay Beautiful While Traveling

When the winter weather gets you down it is time for a vacation. Often the holidays, and all that extra family time, starts to stress people. There is no better time to take a nice vacation somewhere warm.

But as we are all well aware of, airport security is so strict lately that many of us rethink packing personal items and decide to just purchase when we reach our destination.

Read on for some helpful travel beauty tips that you can use on your next adventure.

1) Keep it simple.

Everyone is allowed to have one carry-on, when boarding the plane, and only a one quart bag has to hold anything liquid you may have. Besides for these restrictions, airlines do not allow liquids over 3.4 ounces, so many perfumes and hairsprays will not be making the trip with you.

If you decide to bring anything larger than that, you'll be expected to pack it with your luggage, and we all know what that means: You will not be able to freshen up your hair or makeup until you (with any luck) claim your baggage. Preface

You may want to consider storing your solid cosmetics in your handbag. For example, items such as lipstick, powder, eyeshadow and blush will suit this purpose. Many brands sell travel-sized bottles of liquid foundation and cologne, but for the consideration of the other travelers, wait until you land to freshen up your perfume.

Simplicity Is Key

Easier is better when traveling: go light on your makeup. Lip balm, blush and some mascara will suit just fine. Likewise for your hair: wash and wear styles are best for travel. Don't spend a lot of time styling. The atmosphere on the plane deflates hairstyles anyway. Pull it back in a simple ponytail, or leave it simple and loose.

The only allowance airlines will make for the liquid rule is for those who have a medical condition. And since concealer is hardly a medical necessity (at least we don't think it is), you'll just have to wait until you land to get to your beauty supplies. Shaded glasses always look attractive and give you cleaner, well put-together look; you can also wear bright earrings to add a touch of color. In no time at all your plane will be landing and when it does, you'll look amazing.
