All of these programs have been around for years, have been marketed like crazy by everyone from Oprah to CNN, and have been tried and tested by countless men and women.. So why is obesity still a problem in the western world? All of these hyped up diet programs could be summarised as copies of each other. Most of them focus on one or more types of "new fad" diet. One says to count each and every calorie you consume, and the other says don't worry, just stay away from sugar and exercise more. The fact is that some of these programs just don't tell the truth. It's all about making money and selling the brand. If you truly, deeply, honestly want to lose weight now, just follow these simple steps. 1) Stop focussing on "how to lose weight", and focus just on "lose weight" (I.E. Start doing something NOW!).

Tell yourself that tomorrow you are going to CHANGE, and there is no going back. Sleep well! 3) Get up an hour earlier than normal, 6-7AM are comfortable times to start your day. Have a quick snack like a banana or a little protein shake, and get exercising. You're going to solidly exercise for 20-30 minutes. Jogging, power walking, even cycling is enough to get started. You need to be sweating and have an escalating heart rate. 4) Eat 3 solid meals a day, and avoid snacking in between. Eat HEALTHY! It's not hard to know what is good for you and what is not. Everything in moderation, plenty of fruit and vegetables. Vegetables are VERY important. Obviously you need to limit your fat and sugar intake. 5) Do the previous steps 5 days a week, and be CONSISTENT. Now that you have made these 2 small changes, think about other things like your job, your relationships, your financial situation. By exercising and eating healthily consistently, you are well on your way to losing weight!
