subject: How To Overcome The Challenges Of A Hardcore Bodybuilding Program [print this page]

There is something about achievement that makes the heart tickle with joy. There is something that pushes the shoulders higher and the chest to the front. There is something about succeeding in a challenging venture, that turns around self esteem and personal pride to phenomenal positivism. And these same phenomena accrues when an individual starts out a body building program, commits to it fully, pursues the goals consistently, sacrifices to the utmost and withstands all pressure to build a majestic physique and a prize winning muscle network.

Body building is a very challenging undertaking, to say the least. Men and women who pursues the glory of body building until they are awarded the winner's trophy, experiences true happiness, pride in achievement and of course satisfaction. Muscle building never comes as an easy activity that every Jack, Dick and Harry can manage. The few who stand up to the challenge are awarded the elusive prize of happiness.

Like a man who stands at a far distance of his extended family and smile with personal appreciation for a responsibility well borne and success accrued in the family line, so too does the body builder who stands alongside the mirror and sees the solid packed muscle groups in places where emaciated fatty flesh was previous to the body building program.

The point of difference might result from the definition of true happiness. In fact, rarely will an individual go to the gym in pursuit of happiness. But the initial pursuit of muscles in itself never satisfies unless success is achieved, acknowledged and appreciated. Now when a body builder achieves the grand ambition of his or her training, when the highest dream or objective of a body building program is achieved, there is no other way you can describe that feeling that settles deep in the heart, other than true happiness.

Here is a man or woman who have withstood momentous challenges, conquered numerous shortcomings, pursued the objectives of a body building program, mastered the art of intensity, pain and sweat towards muscle gains, cornered bad genetics and withered negative peer and media pressure. Here is a man or woman who knows what it means to sacrifice everything for a dream. Here is a man or woman who has seen colleagues fall off the path, friends fail enroute body building glory, family members drift away with support, workmates whisper at their back, and many other set backs, and yet stood tall enough to quit. What else can you call such a sense of indefatigably, such a conscious awareness of indomitable spirit ands such a determined resolution towards an objective? What can such a person feel other than happy?

The pursuit of muscles becomes a path towards true happiness, a happiness that is earned in tears, sweat and blood. The glory of body building success is so sweet that, it humbles even giants and makes masculine men and women cry on stage. Although it is rarely the initial objective of training, happiness always accrues when the pursuit of muscles succeeds.
