In last two year, the scenario of India car market has changed completely. All big players from Europe and US taking the road that directly touches the fastest growing India auto industry. The big question is why all these players want to enter here? The answer is quite simple; India is the second largest country in population wise, middle class people's income are growing in fastest pace, government support for automobile industry, and young generation is ready to spend money.

GM was having very tough time in US but they are doing excellent in India. Chevrolet Cars from GM introduced all kind of cars from hatchback to SUVs. Low cost Chevrolet and spark appreciates by customers and new fuel efficient luxury sedan Chevrolet Cruze is giving hard time to its well settled competitors. Overall GM is covering its losses from India.

Italian auto maker Fiat, was saved by its small hatchback Punto. Same Fiat Grande Punto was introduced in India and captured the hatchback market quite smoothly. Still there is lot of big players in this segment like Maruti and Hyundai. Fiat also launched its sedan called Fiat Linea' with some advance features and technology. With the success of these two cars, company is ready to introduce some new models.

Everyone knows what happened to Ford in the US but the story of Ford in India is totally different. Ford got its first success from its low cost sedan Ford Ikon'; it was a big hit on Indian roads. Ford Ikon is affordable and mileage is excellent, what else a middle income man want. Next sedan came with better features, powerful engine named Ford Fiesta that was loved by almost all saloon lovers. The SUV from Ford called Endeavour' was not a big success and recently launched hatchback Figo' is making its mark and sold 25000 units in just 100 days.

World is calling India as a hatchback hub of the world. Almost all the brand has launched its hatchback in India and some are waiting to launch. All kind of hatchbacks from low cost to premium, petrol to diesel are available. Because of huge competition among car manufacturer, customers are getting high quality features cars at low prices. Initially, there was no option of ABS and airbags in hatchback but now you can see in almost all the small car models is having those options.
