21st Century Institutions And Their Need For Online Questionnaires

Some time ago, a great number of grand companies became aware of the fact that having a large number of competent employees wasn't enough to improve the business. It looked like something was missing... but what? What was amiss with the companies' organization? They were sure they could do better, but they didn't know what to change and where to make the changes needed.

This is what triggered the idea of customer and employee satisfaction surveys and was used by managers around the western world, later being followed by more and more companies, until it became something common. Nowadays, if you have or run an institution that has more than twenty employees, it's regarded as bad leadership not to ask them how they're doing from time to time. And the ones who believe you are a bad CEO if you don't seek to get reactions from the guys you work with (regardless if they are your workers or clients) are absolutely right.

If you live in your own turtle shell and you don't know exactly what's going on outside it, you will probably come to take the wrong course of action, and make decisions that may turn really unproductive for your institution. This is the reason why you should conduct surveys. How do you do it? What is the easiest method for giving questionnaires and gathering feedback? The answer couldn't be more simple: just think what's the largest distribution channel in the world? From where do you get your news updates? How did you find this article? That's right the Internet! So, in my opinion, the fastest method is creating and distributing an online survey...

More than a decade ago, before the Internet, it was actually quite a demanding task to conduct surveys, due to the fact that the entire process was to be undertaken by mail, and everybody knows how fast that is, and how secure it is. However, after some people understood they could create survey software and would be able to make a site based on it, things have changed radically. These days, hundreds of millions of surveys are taken online, and there's nothing to show that this is going to change.

And this is why modern companies need online surveys. In a century where "speed" is the key word, when we always attempt to make things quicker and better, and with hard competition in almost any niche, companies simply can not afford not to conduct online surveys.

And there are numerous online tools available. Several of them are good, some are incredibly bad, and this is why it is essential to know which one to use. However, this will be the main issue of my next article. Until then, have a nice day!
