A luxurious houseboat includes comfortable and fine furniture, good carpets and modern bathroom fittings, while the D category (the lowest category) of houseboats, similar to low-category hotels, is spartanly furnished. House boats are being located at different wide areas with some overlooking the main road, while others facing onto the lotus gardens or some others with local markets and villages, which too are floating on the lake. All houseboats, regardless of category, have highly personalized service, accompanied by a "houseboy" for every boat, along with its owner and his family is often neighboring. All meals in the House boat are included per day of hiring and free rides from the houseboat to the nearest jetty and back, as no houseboat on the lakes is being directly accessible from the banks.
