subject: Indianapolis Colts Tickets - Manning Leads Colts Over Pats In Week 10 Thriller [print this page]

The Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots signify the NFL rivalry of the decade, and the Week 10 matchup between these two superpowers proved why. Peyton Manning and the Colts snagged a come-from-behind win over Tom Brady and his Patriots during Week 10 action that had every football fan in the country locked into the final seconds of the game on Nov. 15, and Indianapolis ultimately came out with a 35-34 win over their biggest AFC rival once all was said and done.

There's no doubt that Peyton Manning is a huge draw for those buying Indianapolis Colts tickets, and ticketholders to the Colts-Pats matchup at Lucas Oil Stadium were ecstatically stunned to watch the Colts come from a 31-14 deficit in the fourth quarter to win the game, with Manning and Co. earning their money in the final minutes of the game.

Indy sealed the deal against the Patriots in the final two minutes of the Nov. 15 game, when a monumental (and very rare) slipup from New England head coach Bill Belichick gave the Colts an opportunity for a big comeback. The Colts, already known as a second-half team, started making a comeback against the Pats early in the fourth quarter, and by the time there was 2:08 left on the clock, the Patriots were up 34-28.

With just two minutes left in the game, the Patriots had the ball and decided to go for it on fourth-and-2 at their own 28-yard line instead of punting, trying to get the first down and hold onto the ball. Instead of posting two more yards, however, running back Kevin Faulk was taken down by Indy cornerback Melvin Bullitt just short of the first down, giving the Colts the ball deep in Patriots territory. Peyton Manning used his magic and hooked up with Reggie Wayne in the end zone to make the game-ending touchdown with just seconds left on the clock, and a perfect kick by Matt Stover iced the Colts' one-point win over the Patriots.

Unfortunately for Peyton Manning's crew, media outlets after the game have focused attention only on Bill Belichick's decision to run the ball on fourth-and-2 instead of punting during the recent heated Pats-Colts game, leaving Indy's heroic effort largely hushed. The bottom line from Indy's Week 10 matchup against the New England Patriots is that Peyton Manning and the rest of the blue-and-white Colts don't give up, and even with a largely depleted defense the Patriots were ultimately no match for this Indianapolis superteam.

After Indy's last-second win against the Patriots in Week 10, the Colts stand at 9-0 on the season, still competing with Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints for honors as the longest undefeated team this year. Peyton Manning is having a spectacular season, throwing for more than 300 yards in seven out of the team's nine games this year. The additions of offensive gems Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon have helped the Colts forget about Marvin Harrison (who?), and the Colts are one step closer to the playoffs after their hard-fought win over the New England Patriots.

For fans jumping on the Colts bandwagon, tickets to games at Lucas Oil Stadium can still be found online. Go Horse!
