It can get a little crowded especially during the months of June to September on the weekends as these months are considered to be the peak of malta tours. Water sports facilities like pedalo are also available. To the adventurous, you can try parasailing or swim out to a large floating play area. This beach is very popular with families and there are many sun beds and umbrellas available for rent.

Golden Bay and Ghajn Tuffieha Bay - the two are very attractive beaches which are located next to each other on the Western part of Malta. There are more facilities at Golden Bay because one of the largest malta hotel, the 5-star Radisson Golden Sands is located on to the one side of Golden bay. However both share the benefit for its popularity. This malta hotel located at Golden Bay will give you an excellent dinner only minutes from the beach and car park. There are also watersports available and both are great for snorkeling. As a reminder for a safe malta holidays, you should swim in shallower waters because of the strong undercurrent in some parts.

Gnejna Bay, Mgarr - Gnejna is a very good bay on the Western part of Malta near the town of Mgarr. The shallow waters and sandy beach make it perfect for families spending their malta tours. This offers a family-friendly location for bathers and it is where most locals bathe. This beach is considered a quite beach and its right side is a popular nudists area.

Paradise Bay, Cirkewwa - This beach is well secluded and is set in a natural cove. It is situated on the northern part of Malta close to Cirkewwa. Paradise Bay is excellent for snorkeling and diving. This is also popular with a younger crowd for its weekend parties. The Paradise Bay Resort Hotel is one of the Hotels in Malta located near the beach and it has a Diving School which is open all year round offering PADI qualified diving instructors.
