subject: What You Should Have During Your Wedding [print this page] A wedding is one of the most important occasions in a person's life. It's the time when you say "I Do" and you proclaim your vows to the one you're going to spend the rest of your life with. It's quite sad though that people would rather much do away with this, since it's quite expensive and all. Actually, this isn't true, weddings don't have to be expensive. What head over heels couple should do is simply to focus and spend only on the most significant aspects of the celebration.
The invitations and guests. You don't really have to have a big wedding ceremony to make that day special. What you should concentrate on, rather, is to make sure that the people who are important to you; the ones you love and hold dear to your heart are present during this momentous occasion. Wedding invitations can be simple. With some software, a printer, and some good paper, you can even make your own wedding invitations. This saves you the money to spend on a wedding invitation shop and printers plus you get to give your invitations a personal touch as well.
The ceremony. You can actually have your wedding ceremony in any place that you want. If you are in a religion that allows you to have your ceremony outside of a church, then go for it. This way, you can look for a place where you don't need to spend so much. A few decorations and flowers here and there can do the trick. You need not worry about who would be officiating your wedding as well. It would be nice to have the noble minister who is a close friend of the family officiate the wedding. This would make your wedding more memorable and intimate.
The rings. Wedding rings symbolize your unending faith and devotion to your spouse. There is no strict standard on wedding rings. What you should concern yourself more over is the fit of the ring on your partners finger. You don't have to have diamonds, platinum, or the finest kind of gold out there for your ring.
The wedding gown. Your bride, without a doubt, will be the prettiest woman on that day. But contrary to popular belief, it's actually the bride that makes the dress, and not the dress that makes the bride. Her beauty alone is enough to make a simple dress look as if it was high fashion. The gown can be simple yet flattering and should be comfortable enough for the bride to move around. This is very much important because aside from getting married, she would be doing quite a bit of dancing and other activities during the reception.
