subject: How To Follow The Cabbage Soup Diet Recipe [print this page]

The cabbage soup diet recipe is based on ingredients that are packed with negligible calories. This means that the more soup you eat, the more weight you are supposed to lose. Dieters love to hear that they can eat all they want of a particular item, and this is very true with this particular diet. You are put on an eating plan for 7 days that will help you jump-start your weight loss with several pound lost.

The recipe may have varied slightly over the years, but the basic ingredients have all remained the same. Each day, the foods differ, and you have to stick to the foods for that day. This is important in order to see the pounds drop. Along with the foods which are assigned for those seven days, you are allowed to eat as much cabbage soup and drink as much water as you want.

Day #1 - On the first day of the diet, you can eat all of the fruit you want, except for the banana. Bananas are strictly forbidden. You can drink unsweetened tea, coffee (black), water and cranberry juice.

Day #2 - This is vegetable day. Vegetables are allowed either fresh, raw or cooked. However, stay away from peas, beans and sweet corn. A large potato is your treat of the day for dinner, top it with butter.

Day #3 - This is a combination day. It combines day 1 and day 2. This means you can have all the fruits and vegetables you want (except for the omissions mentioned).

Day #4 - Banana day! You can eat as many bananas as you crave, along with skim milk.

Day #5 - You can have up to 500 g of skinless chicken, broiled fish or beef. Add 6 fresh, small tomatoes to this meal as well.

Day #6 - This day is dedicated to beef and vegetables. Eat as many as three portions of steak if you want, along with unlimited amounts of vegetables. Soup must be eaten at least once on this day.

Day #7 - On the last day you can eat brown rice, fruit juices that are unsweetened, and vegetables. Incorporate the cabbage soup diet recipe at least once on this day. Stay away from bread or carbonated beverages.
