Moravske Toplice: A Modern And Sophisticated Welness Center by:Gabriela Rupp
Originally called Moravske Toplice, today it goes by the name Terme 3000 but it is
still the most modern and sophisticated therapeutic wellness center in all of Eastern Europe. Terme 3000 is located in the south-eastern end of Slovenia.Slovenia's countryside is a beautiful mix of forest, rolling hills, peaceful vineyards and small country villages. It's a peaceful and historic country, with much to offer any tourist.
Black Mineral Water Hot Springs
At the center of the therapeutic and recreational services available at Terme 3000 is the black water thermal spring. The spring draws thermal mineral water from 1,500 meters below ground, that can reach a temperature of 72 degrees Celsius.
The unique spring is a relic from an earlier time, when the ancient Pannonian Sea covered most of what is now Europe, including Slovenia. The black mineral spring water is reputed to have healing and rejuvenating properties for people suffering with lung ailments, rheumatic conditions, skin diseases, and poor blood circulation. It can also help anyone with muscular or skeletal difficulties after major surgery.
The Terme 3000 spa is completely licensed by the Slovenian Health Authority for the administration of these water therapy treatments.
Terme 3000 Treatments and Facilities
The water is made available for spa treatments from 4 wells and a re-injection system to reclaim excess mineral waters. Terme 3000 offers a number of therapies that include both traditional and alternative treatments. In total, there are more than 22 swimming pools, along with water slides. Facilities for water massages are also on site.
There are many choices beyond the mineral water spa therapies. Visitors to Terme 300 can have acupuncture, electrotherapy, kinesitherapy, fango compresses, pearl baths and dietary adjustments.
From a more recreational perspective, there is also a golf course and driving range, tennis courts, a complete fitness gym, steam sauna and solarium bicycling. Overall, Terme 3000 has 120 relaxation options, and more than 150 therapy services available.
In order to expand and offer high-quality accommodations for its guests, Terme 3000 opened the Livada Prestige Hotel in 2006. Not only does the hotel have 5-star rooms and facilities, guests can have access to the wonderful black thermal waters directly in their private rooms.
