Do not just focus on the ground in front of you only. Look as far ahead of the trail as possible while still being aware of the motorists around you. This will help you go where you want to go so do not focus on the pothole in the road in front of you but just look towards where you want to go. Your motor automatically follows your eyes and choosing where to focus on will guide your movement. Remain aware of your surrounding too so that you can avoid unexpected accidents.
2.Speed over rough patches
It is often difficult to fight the natural instinct to slow down as you ride across uneven terrain. Fight this reaction. Rather, start accelerating gently as you approach a rough patch and gas up as you ride through it. Motorcycles are more stable if they keep moving forward and if you are moving across a rough patch, you will find better balance if you power up the speed over rough terrain.
3.Forward posture
When riding across rough terrain, do not stiffen your arms or recoil in fear. Lean forward instead and relax so that your movements remain fluid to help you power through the terrain. Move your torso closer to the handlebars and bend your arms. Relax your upper body and push hard on the gas.
4.Cornering
When you approach corners, you need to slow down and keep your motorcycle upright, the tires perpendicular to the road. This helps to keep the motorbike determinedly on the road and prevents the rear wheel from being thrown off.
5.Braking
When riding your motorcycle off road, by mastering these pointers you will have no problem braking. Employ you gearbox and rear brake for stopping. The back brake is absolutely useful for slippery surfaces unlike the front brake which is more effective in technical surfaces.
