New technique invented for Treating Skin Cancer

There is a new research in treating skin cancer by Scientists at the University of California. The testing found that the the LED's are capable of boosting the efficiency of a common technique known as photo-dynamic therapy (PDT).

How the new technique works?

the oxygen radicals emitted by a device equipped with an array of five LEDs helped the photo-sensitizing chemicals to absorb and then expose tumors to light which will further destroy the cancerous cells.
