Rajasthan Haunted Town Bhangarh Now Part Of Cwg Tourists' Packages

This one is going to a one big hit among the tourists on a Rajasthan tour. Rajasthan government has decided to cash in Bhangarh- a haunted town near Jaipur during the 2010 Commonwealth Games. The haunted ruin of Bhangarh is going to be biggest tourists' attritions amongst the visitors during the Common Wealth Games 2010. Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) have decided to include haunted ruins of 16th century town, Bhangarh in Rajasthan tour packages during the duration of the games, especially designed for the officials, delegates and athletes of the Common Wealth Games 2010.

Manjit Singh, Chairman and MD, RTDC, said "This is first time we chose to include this worth-visiting place in our tour packages. It is a ghost city as per local mythologies and we picked it up to reasonably boost tourism in this area," Furthermore he said. "We have designed several tour packages during the CWG as the event is sure to boost tourism in the state. We are expecting a good response for all the packages which have been designed keeping schedule of the event in mind,"

Archeological Survey of India has put up signboards asking travelers that say "Entering the borders of Bhangarh before sunrise and after sunset is strictly prohibited" People can visit this place during day time to get a glimpse of the haunted places associated with the town and with this and RTDC wants to take Rajasthan tourism popularity to a new heights. People are not allowed to enter the place after dawn because of the spooky stories associated with this haunted town.

The RTDC is offering 11 tour packages from Delhi to Rajasthan during 15-day long CWG 2010 with ten per cent discount from September 1 to October 10 this year.
