Croatian wine dates back to the ancient Greeks and still uses many of the traditional varieties of grapes that were originally used. Locals like to create a drink known as Bevanda from their wine. This drink is a combination of wine and sparkling water.

Another popular holiday destination in Croatia is the town of Bol. This town is located on the island Brac and is famous for its Golden Cape beach. This beach is regarded as one of the most beautiful in all of Europe. This is a very popular Croatia holiday location for windsurfers and divers. The area is also known as a popular destination for tennis enthusiasts.

Bol is located at the south side of Mt Vidova Gora, which is the highest peak on any of the islands in the Adriatic Sea. For hikers and outdoor enthusiasts Mt Vidova Gora offers some incredible views of the harbor and the beautiful Golden Beach. There are numerous trails throughout the area making this area also very popular with hikers.

Another popular destination for Croatia holidays is the small resort of Trpanj. This resort is was once a historic fishing village. It has been established that this area has been occupied by man since prehistoric times.

Tourists on holiday can still witness small fishing boats work as they fish in the waters off the coast. This is a great place to escape on holiday because the area is virtually untouched by modern tourism and provides only one resort and a hotel. Although this historic fishing village is somewhat isolated it still provides all the modern amenities that tourist's desire.
