Safe Travels In The Tropical North Queensland

You will find unbelievable beauty and natural wonders with incredible views and some fun adventures in Tropical North Queensland. Here you'll discover some great places to stay offering great relaxation or romance amongst the tropical rainforests.

If you are unfamiliar with the region then traveling from place to place can be difficult. You will definitely want to pick up a car hire as soon as you arrive, this will help you to get where you need to go, but there are several things that you should take with you when traveling through this region by car.

Current Maps - It can be very easy to get lost and so traveling by day only is recommended for tourists. At night the dark rainforests can be confusing, so limit travel from sun up to sunset to avoid getting lost in the dark. Be sure to have your route laid out for you, but also make sure that you keep a current map of the area handy in case you get off track. Water - Always travel with plenty of water on hand. This will ensure that you have enough to get hydrated in case you get stuck or lost and can serve as extra in case your vehicle needs it as well. It is very easy to take with and can be a big help when you are stranded.

Compass - It is very easy to get turned around so be sure to keep a compass handy so you will know what direction you are heading, this way if you can't figure out exactly where you are you can at least figure out which direction you are heading to help you find your way. First Aid Kit - There are a lot of rugged areas and many visitors enjoy partaking in physical activity while in the Tropical North and this can lead to injury. Be sure to take along a small first aid kit on your travels to help bandage up any injuries that are sustained.

Hotel Phone Number - Take with you the information for your accommodations, so that if you are lost a native can help you find the hotel or you can call them and ask for assistance. Although you may think that you know this information by heart, if there is a problem you may not be able to remember it, so write it down and keep it handy. Being prepared is the best way to avoid issues, so keep to the road and remember if you do breakdown, stay with your vehicle. This is the best way to have someone locate you quickly.
