Bentley; The Ultimate In Automobile Luxury

Founded on 18 January 1919 by Walter Owen Bentley, Bentley have been producing cars for just under a century and whilst the company's first venture into automobile production was in the racing world, they have been firmly established as one of the leader's in ultimate car luxury for several decades.

Bentley dealers currently offer an extensive range of different models to suit all tastes, styles and budgets, although you will have to have a minimum of at least GBP 150,000 - and that's for one of the standard models

These 3 cars are all classic examples of Bentley's and show the high level of quality that can be found in a car, should you be able to afford the expensive, but highly appropriate, price tags.

1. Mulsanne. Marketed by Bentley as being 'the pinnacle of British motoring', the Mulsanne features a 6.75 litre V8 turbo engine that is capable of returning 505 break horse power, all encased within the typical beautiful Bentley frame.

Inside the Mulsanne, the idea to mix traditional designs with 21st century features has worked fantastically. 17 high quality leather hides are used inside the car, for use on the seats, headrests, arm rests and doors, whilst the natural wood veneers all around let the Bentley traditions shine through perfectly.

These classic design features are brought up-to-date by the integrated technology and class, including one-touch drawers and compartments, MP3 player connectivity and a 60 GB multimedia harddrive and entertainment system.

2. Continental GT. According to Bentley, the Continental GT is the classic grand tourer, a combination of everything you would need to travel in style, for long distances if need be.

The Continental GT is one of only a handful of Bentley's that only have 2 doors and is not only available in a couple model, but a convertible model, too.

Powered by a 6 litre twin turbo engine, it was first developed in 2003 and has a range of extras that could be deemed necessary when using the car for regular travelling. GPS tracking, for example, is a popular optional extra that Bentley offers, whilst the built-in Bluetooth Hands Free Profile works in conjunction with the entertainment system to allow you to easily pick up calls when on the move.

3. Arnage. Quintessentially British and oozing with class, decorum and sheer elegance, the Arnage is actually the predecessor to the Mulsanne and although it is still possible to purchase one from Bentley dealers, production stopped in 2009.

Available in four separate trims (Final Series, R, T and RL), Bentley explain that the Arnage T is "one of the most powerful cars in the world", powered by a massive 6.75 litre V8, offering 500 break horse power.

The Arnage was actually developed into a limousine and presented to Queen Elizabeth II in 2002 to celebrate her Golden Jubilee and is still used as her state car today.

Full of all of the luxuries you would expect in a Bentley, the Arnage range, whilst featuring the necessary modern technologies, tips it's hat to the designs of old in a superbly aristocratic way.
