Finding The Right Solution For The Job

One of the most important things in the process of getting a product to the show room floor is the manufacturing plant in which it is made. Some plants involve fluids that must be maintained at certain temperatures. In order to do that there are thermometers that are placed in the pipeline every so often to measure the temperature of the fluid and then report that back to a central monitoring station.

In the past these things could really hurt the production for a time from time to time. When one would go out the only way to repair or replace it was to shut off the fluid in the line so that the thermometer could be removed. However, this causes problems to the bottom line. Manufacturing plants make money based on a steady production and when they must shut down they stand a chance to lose money.

In order to solve this problem a person invented a well that could be inserted into the pipeline. It is made so that it will not need to be removed. By doing this, a thermometer can be placed in the well and still do its job, but can also be removed to be replaced or repaired without stopping the well and thus not stopping the production. All of these types of things are important to the bottom line of a manufacturing plant.

These types of inventions are the backbone of our country. These are the things that make a lot of difference but which do not garner any attention in the news. These are the things that are invented by the people in the trenches that use the equipment and work in the plants or wherever that realize why it is needed. They are the ones that know why their invention needs to come around and how it should work. These are the kind of details that a person who invents all of the time as a profession would not get without actually being one of the people in the trenches.

When you think about blue collar workers working in the trenches think also about the things that they face on a daily basis. How many mundane and repetitive tasks must someone do before there is a solution to those things that can do it automatically. This is why the employee is often one of the people that is best suited to invent the solution.
