Unusually for link the poetry books in our library, this volume is actually all about the trials and tribulations of watchmaking–not an abstract story about the passage of time or a rumination on mortality. Other translated titles link of poems in this book include "The Regulator," "The Balance Shaft," and "A 'Capable' Assistant" (the last poem is an ironic lament link about a dishonest employee.)
