Drivers might just have to blow into the ignition lock to ascertain that they are not intoxicated. Recent car locks have been designed to also control the electrical aspect in a car. Without using the correct set of keys, the car will remain dormant. It wont be able to function in the desired way. Anything electrical in the car will be disabled through the use of the ignition lock. The amazing thing about these locks is that they are not irreplaceable. They come in different brands designed for different types of automotives from cheap cars to luxury cars.
A change in the ignition switch will demand for the removal of the trim panels, the tamper proof hardware and the ignition locks assembly. Once all this is done, the switch is then ready for replacement. Despite this sounding very easy to do, it is also tricky especially in new cars which have anti-theft equipment. If the ignition switch is removed for the lock cylinder then its easy for the car to be started with almost any tool that is shaped like a key.
