Business Schools Have A Changed Gmat As An Entrance Test

In a attempt to deepen its measuring merits, GMAT is all ready to undergo a significant revolution. The new revolutionary change involves a new section that will replace one of the two writing portions , and will also require the candidates to use headphones to test their 'auditory learning' abilities. The San Diego annual industry conference has foretold its actual practical application to begin in 2012, without affecting the verbal and math section.

The world is changing, and so is the global market. The new economy demands managers to have special skills, which will only be placed in them by the business schools. To equal with the changing scenarios , business schools have modified their prospectus and have consistently demanded the GMAT to use the test-sections that will test these special skills of the contenders . Basically, this new change is to make students 'flourish' in the MBA program and not just 'survive' it.

Having spent 10 millions already on developing the new format, relying greatly upon the audio system, it will be analyzed closely by the admissions officers, students, and test-preparation companies before its launch on 4th June, 2012. With presence of other similar exams, GMAT will compete to be considered the most latent business-school entrance test, by universities like Harvard, Wharton, Stanford, and MIT.

Recognizing the relationships between data-points, interpreting charts and graphs, comprehending spreadsheets, solving problems that will evaluate their critical mind are few of the tasks that a candidate will want to undergo with a new GMAT format. The by and large focus of this change is upon gauging the candidates' critical-thinking and problem-solving efficiency.

The result of these GMAT tests will mirror candidate's competence in the domains of analytical thinking and information organization. As the GMAC looks at this change, it is a step, not to replace the features of the old GMAT, but to improve them.
