The 42mm case, with the the designer's unique style, is crafted from 18k white gold. With refined the finish, it gives off a charming temperament you often see on a good man. The dial is partially open to allow a view into the movement, while the rest part is done in blued steel and marked with white numerals. The small seconds subdial is subtly skeletonized into the shape of the rotor used on Speake-Marin's automatic watches. The hands with elegant shapes and large-area lume application are a nice compliment to the dial. On the hour chapter, there is a date window at 4:30 position. I really love those lovely numerals for the date.
The Marin Marin 2 Mk1 Thalassa watch , in general, is a nice addiction to Speake-Marin's collection and a beautiful item for the designer's fans. It will surely attract more new fans to this brand. However, I still stick to those simple watches by Speake-Marin.
