subject: It's Time For Surveys For Cash [print this page] We can answer one question -- "How easy is it to make money online?" -- with another question: "How easy is it to complete an online survey?" Despite hearsay to the contrary, many people are managing to make a decent income by giving their honest feedback to marketers. As long as there are market research companies who want to know how you feel about new products, employers, and advertisements, there will be an opportunity to make money.
It's true that surveys for cash have suffered from a terrible run of bad PR -- and deservedly so. There are a number of online survey scams that have stolen money from unsuspecting participants. The lure of fast cash is always tantalizing, but in most cases, you can make a decent bit of money by completing these surveys. Yes, it will take some time and some planning, but you can manage to make enough to pay for groceries or even a car payment.
Do some research before you sign up. Not all survey sites are created equally. Yes, they all promise swift payment, but be sure you are getting paid cash. If you're being promised some form of "in-store credit" don't bother. You're only asking for trouble when you broker your wages in anything but old-fashioned, cold-hard cash. Don't bother with point systems or tokens -- you want cash. Have we made that clear?
When filling out your online profile, be honest. Don't exaggerate and don't give false information. For one thing, the information you provide in your profile will be used to match you to relevant surveys. It's a waste of your time and theirs if you're a Caucasian males pretending to be an Asian woman. This will only make matters worse if you're asked to participate in a phone survey or sit in on a market panel.
Make sure you get a PayPal account and make sure all payments are made via PayPal. Why? It's the safest, most secure way you can get paid. Giving your personal banking information to marketing firms is not a good idea. In fact, it's never a good idea to give out your personal banking information -- period.
