Branding yourself instead of the company is very important. Many marketers will tell their prospects to go to a company's website. The issue with this is that most people have not built relationship with their prospect. If the company looks like a great opportunity, they will usually do a search on Google and find a leader that they feel will show them the path to success. The reason why is because they don't really know if the person sending them to the website will help them have success. It is very important to understand that people don't join companies, they join people.
Sending someone to a capture page with a video of you on it, will enable you to brand yourself as a leader. People will be able to learn more about you and see what you have to offer. You will be able to collect their information and build a relationship by following up through an autoresponder. I will talk about this more in list building.
The same concept needs to be applied to offline marketing. Many marketers have their company logo on their car. The issue with that is they are branding the company instead of themselves. When someone sees a company logo, they will usually look it up on the internet and find a savvy internet marketer to join. So don't put the company logo on the back of your car.
Driving Traffic To Your Website
Driving Traffic is very important. If you got no traffic to your website, then you can convert them to lead and you can't make sales. You need to use several different methods for driving traffic to your site which include online and offline and paid and free. Some examples include the three foot rule, blogs, email blasting, google pay per click, yard sales, magazine advertisements, etc.
It is a great strategy to use a combination of both online and offline and paid and free marketing methods. However, you should not use too many of them. Just pick a few use them consistently until you have generated at least 20 leads per day.
List Building
If you are sending people to the company's replicated website, you have no way of capturing their contact information. The company might have a lead capture page, but you are really building their list instead of yours. If your company goes under or boots you out, then you will lose that list since the company owns that list and not you. Without sending people to your own website, you will not be able to build a solid relationship with them.
You need to send people to a capture page where you can build your own list and not some company's list. When people enter their name, email and phone number into your capture page, they will receive follow up emails through an auto responder. With an auto responder, you will be able to build relationships with your list and market to them low cost, high value educational products. If for some chance your company goes under and you had to find another primary company, you will be able to send an email out and signup some distributors.
