How Much Does Travel Insurance Cost?

With so many travel insurance companies in the UK competition is fierce to get your custom. Also with so many different levels of cover available, it is best decided on a few things before you go out there and compare prices.

First thing you need to think about is how many holidays do you take a year. Include in this any trip abroad, it could be a stag or hen party in Barcelona or even a booze cruise to France for the afternoon. You will always need travel insurance no matter how close and how long you are away from the UK.

If you take more than two holidays a year then annual multi trip insurance would be best for you. This will allow you to go on as many holidays as you can in a year as long as you are not away for more than 30 days at a time.

If you just go on the one holiday then single trip travel insurance would be best for you with one week in Europe staring from around 7 for basic cover.

To make sure you get the best prices on your travel insurance its best to compare all the travel insurance companies.

There are many places where it is possible to compare travel insurance prices and cover. Make sure that you get the cover you need as you might need to pay extra for any extra activities you do such as scuba diving. Also with so many travel insurance companies in the UK all promising the best cover for the best price, make sure you compare reviews on what others have said about the companies that you are looking at. You may think you are covered but I can ensure you that might not always be the case.

Compare prices for single and annual travel insurance

2 Weeks in Europe From 10.99

Annual Multi trip in Europe From 30

These prices are dependent on which of the many UK companies you are to go for. Remember these are the cheapest from insurers that you of never heard of. If we was to compare these prices with a well know company.

2 Weeks in Europe From 18.00

Annual Multi trip in Europe From 50

As you can see there is not much difference when you compare the prices, if 20 spent now could potentially save you thousands of pounds later it might be a good idea financially. Im not saying that the more expensive travel insurance is better but in the recent volcanic ash cloud fiasco the dearer insurer covered its policy holders whereas the cheaper company did not.
