Travel Tips On Huangshan Tours

1. If you choose to climb the mountain on foot, I suggest you started climbing from the backside of the mountain (Yungu Si). It will save effort relatively than from the front side. If you take the cable car, I recommend you up the mountain from Ciguang Pavilion, since the cable car needs to line up a long time when the peak season comes. Up the mountain by cable car, it will take about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at Tianhai (near Guangmingding) at noon. After lunch, you could visit the West Sea Flying Stone, Paiyunting and other attractions at afternoon, and then stay at Beihai (convenient to see the sunrise at the next day).

2. There are hotels for you to stay at Yupinglou, as is easy to climb up the mountain after Yuping cableway is fixed. If you only stay one night in Huangshan, it is recommended to stay in the North Sea or West Sea scenic area. If planning to stay for two nights, then you could choose to stop at the mountains, or lodging one night at Tianhai scenic spots.

3. It is better to lightly armed and to take less baggage, to avoid excessive physical exertion.

4. Huangshans weather is changed dramatically, and it will turn from rain and sunshine within minutes. Therefore, take a raincoat along, and avoid using umbrella because of the strong wind.

5. Do not climb the high mountain top, especially the two peaksTiandu and Lianhua. Do not use the chains or escape rain under a tree, in case of lightning strikes.

6. Te temperature is low at early morning and late night, remember to take wool shirt. There are clothes to use for free in hotel rooms.

7. Climbers should better wear hiking shoes, or sports shoes. Wearing leather shoes or plastic shoes is easily slip. For safety, climbers can buy a cane.

8. The mountains are high and the roads are steep, so the tour is appropriate to slow down, not too fast. For safety, we must "do not look at sights while walking, and do not walk while appreciating the scenic spots." Watching while walking is dangerous.
