Toyota Etios heading to South Africa by 2012

As per the auto sources, the auto major Toyota will be launching its Toyota Etios hatchback in the country,South Africa by the year 2012. As per these sources, the new Etios will be competing with few low priced hatchbacks. Such hatchbacks will include Chevrolet Spark Lite or Chevrolet Spark in India, the Hyundai i10, VW Polo Vivo, Renault Sandero. In the Indian auto market, Toyota is targeting for the market share of Maruti Swift. This fight is going to be very strong and fierce as the next-gen Swift is ready to be launched in the coming year. Toyota has not yet revealed the price of the new Toyota Etios but few predictions of a sub five-lakh rupee price have surfaced in the past. The new Toyota Etios hatchback will be less than 4 meters in length and will have a 1.2-liter petrol engine. In the development of this low cost product of Toyota- Toyota Etios, over two thousand engineers have participated. After India,South Africa will be the first country to receive the Toyota Etios model, added the sources. Subsequently, the new Etios will also reach Brazil and China. Recently Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that it will be holding a charity event in Mumbai on 12th November. This charity event will be called "The Toyota Classics 2010- World of Harmony. The fund raised from this Toyota Classics concert will be given to the CRY (Child Relief and You). In India, the Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd, is a venture of the Kirloskar Group and Toyota Motor Corporation for the sales and manufacturing of Toyota products. The company holds the rank of the 8th biggest car manufacturer in the Indian auto market. The current facility of the company is located at Bangalore, Karnataka. This Toyota facility has got the capacity of producing eighty thousand cars each year. During the month of October 2010, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited registered a considerable growth. The company successfully sold 6602 cars which was 5650 units that accounted to a growth of seventeen per cent, in comparison to the same period earlier year.
