Why holiday in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote?

You an hire bicycles, snorkelling and scuba equipment, and even Segways - all to make the most of your holiday. At the largest beach in the town (PLaya Dorada) you can hire pedalos, or go parasailing - whatever takes your fancy.

Holiday accommodation is of a high standard here, especially the thousands of Lanzarote villas, as there is rarely a villa without a pool or simple access to the town and all the amenities it has to offer.

Hotels are between 3 and 5 star, with everything available from self catering to all-inclusive.

The town itself has a number of beaches, from the coves at Papagayo, across to the white sands of Dorada and Flamingo.

The seafront is flanked by a beautiful promenade... which plays host to some excellent restaurants and of course bars. Entertainment is low-key in Playa Blanca - but there is always a party somewhere. Whether you are seeking Spanish tapas and people watching, or you wish to catch up on your soaps from home, or watch your favourite sports - Playa Blanca has something to offer everyone.

Carnival (or Carnaval as it is known locally) is held at the end of each February or early March and the whole town turns out in fancy dress - ready to party along all day and through the night until the following dawn. The procession goes from the old harbour, through the town... ending at the church in the centre. From there - revellers spread out amongst the many bars and discos, with big happy smiles.
