For example, you will find many amusement parks. Wild Water and Race Theme Park features waterslides, swimming and mini golf.

There is something for the entire family to enjoy. Another park is the Family Kingdom Amusement Park.

This park also features a water park as well as roller coasters and rides. Which includes the largest wooden roller coaster and ferris wheel in the whole state.

One last park is the Pavilion Nostalgia Park. Here you will find plenty of classic rides and fun for all ages.

If you love animals you may want to visit the Waccatee Zoo. Walk along the winding trails as you view over 100 species of animals.

Then head over to Alligator Adventure, the world's largest reptile park. Not only will you see alligators, but this wetland is also home to snakes, crocodiles and other exotic species.

If you enjoyed the last few attractions you may also find the Ripley's Aquarium to be of interest. Walk along a path through the world's largest underwater tunnel filled with sharks, colorful fish and other interesting sea creatures.

This aquarium also features dive shows and a restaurant where you can dine right next to the large tank. A few fun museums to visit in the area are the Children's Museum of South Carolina, the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, the Rice Museum, and the Horry County Museum.

There are also plenty of exciting shows to watch in the area. One is the Dixie Stampede Dinner Show.

This show allows visitors to enjoy a four-course meal all while they are viewing an equestrian show. Medieval Times is another great show where visitors will be served a Medieval-style meal as they watch knights, horses and jousting competitions.

You may also want to check out The Carolina Opry and the Alabama Theatre to see which shows are going on at the time of your visit. For those who love the outdoors, then you will love the Brookgreen Gardens.

It is the country's first and largest sculpture garden with over 550 works. One of the most popular tourist destinations in the area is Broadway at the Beach.

This attraction features hundreds of specialty shops and plenty of unique things to see and do. Another place to shop is Barefoot Landing.

You will find lots of little shops where you can buy souvenirs. If you are in the area another place you may want to visit is the historic seaport of Georgetown.

Here you will find lots of shopping, waterfront restaurants, museums and other fun activities. A few other popular Myrtle Beach activities are go golfing at one of the many courses, take a cruise to view whales or dolphins, or take a walking tour of the area.

Of course after all of your touring you will be hungry. A few good restaurants in the area are: Mexico Lindo Mexican Restaurant, Bonefish Grill, Sea Captain's House, Villa Romana Italian Restaurant, Carolina Roadhouse, Tommy Bahama Restaurant, and Abuelo's Mexican Food Embassy.
