subject: What Invisible Braces Do For Teeth [print this page]

When people think of braces they think of those large metal things that are very easy to see when one smiles. This is no longer the case for many types of braces though. There are all sorts of options for invisible braces that have become very popular in recent years. Invisible braces can be found behind one's teeth or can be used as ones that work with clear aligners. These two options are great things to see for one's orthodontic needs.

Some of the most popular invisible braces come from the use of invisible aligner materials. These are materials that work in that they are placed over one's teeth and will work to help get one's teeth repositioned over a period of time with a low amount of pressure. It also works with multiple sets of aligners that will be changed over time as one's teeth get closer to a desired position.

The aligners from many different groups, including Invisalign, are useful in that they are also more comfortable on one's mouth. No wires are used for these materials. Therefore the insides of one's mouth will not feel discomfort or will be harmed in any way. In fact these aligners can be removed at times for certain needs that a person has.

Braces that work behind one's teeth can work as well. These are ones that can be found on the backsides of teeth instead of no their fronts. They generally work with wires and brackets but the brackets used are much smaller than that of what is used for traditional braces. Those brackets can also be contoured to the natural curves on the teeth that one has so they can stay comfortable without getting in the way of anything inside of one's mouth.

These braces can be found through many different companies. For instance, 3M's Unitek Incognito line of braces is one of the most popular lines of invisible braces to see. Different dentists will have different types of these braces though so it helps to see what one has.

Invisible braces are great to see for one's teeth. These braces work in that they can help to get one's teeth to be properly aligned without the use of any wires that are very visible. If wires are used with these invisible braces then they will be placed behind one's teeth where they cannot be seen easily.
