Each part of the truck has a different function. The parts of the truck are the bushings, axle, kingpin, hanger, and baseplate.
The bushing allows the truck to bend, and they come in different firmness. The firmer the harder it is to turn. The axle is what the wheels go on, and the base plate, is what attaches to the board and kingpin.
They come in low, medium and or high. There are also many companies to choose from such as krux, desctructo, independent, grindking, fury, ventures, trackers, and etc.
Get the same size truck as your have skateboard deck.
if you like to do flip tricks get a lower truck, or ramp skating get a higher truck. If you like to do a lot of grind buy a grind king truck. if you like to skate ramp buy a fury truck.
