Affenpinscher

A dog breed noted for its monkey-like face originates from Germany in the 17th century. The dog gained the nickname Monkey Dog. In France, breed enthusiasts lovingly call the dog Diablotin Moustachu which means mustached little devil. This dog was primarily developed to be a rodent catcher. As such, the dogs are usually seen in barns, stables and kitchen chasing rodents away.

A high level of intelligence, an affectionate nature and the renowned clownish personality are the admirable qualities of an Affenpinscher. If you want a dog that will amuse you with its funny and crazy antics, the Affenpinscher is definitely the right dog for you.

This breed is really amusing as it has this attitude of showing off to get people's attention every chance it could get. For that reason, the dog has left its modest corner in barns and stables to be the pampered and highly valued pets that are provided comfortable accommodations including the laps of its adoring owners. An Affenpinscher however, is a sly dog. The dog would know how and when to appeal to the owner' weakness. The dog is so small but it knows how to use it wiles to make the whole family give in to its demands. This dog is highly valued as a family companion because of its admirable qualities but owners must never forget that the dog can be overbearing if allowed.

It would never be wise to spoil this pet as the dog can become a small tyrant. The dog has this unwanted behavior of showing a bad temper if its wishes are not granted by its master. This dog will not put up with any kind of teasing especially from unfamiliar faces. Affection and correct training methods will turn this spunky little devil into a lovable toy-like pet that will be the joy of the family.
Affenpinscher

An Affenpinscher is recognized as one of toy breeds. Apartment dwellers wanting to have a pet can consider an Affenpinscher as one of the suitable choices. However, unlike other toy breeds, the dog has a rather high exercise requirement. Owners of this breed have to make sure that the pet is given opportunities to exercise daily. Be aware that an Affenpinscher is a highly energetic breed. Apart from the cuddly size, an Affenpinscher forms a strong bond with its human family so that family members may take turns in cuddling the dog. This breed though has to be allowed to expend its energies lest inactivity turn this dog into an obnoxious pet. Properly cared for and correctly trained, an Affenpinscher will be an ideal pet that will never cease to provide the family with loving and devoted companionship
