So, what are the best activities for kids in the summer time?
The best answers is to get the out of the house and in the nature. Most kids love to spend their time in the outdoors: in parks, gardens and why not, the Zoo. Gardens a great source of information for young children as they get to see and learn a great deal of things like where do apples come from, for example. After a nice walk you can even encourage him/her to make a painting or to draw some of the things that you have seen during the day.
Going for a walk in the park can be another good way of spending some quality time with your child. Try to pick places that have lots of trees and flowers. This is the seasons when everything comes to life so your child will surely have a lot of things to see and to learn.
You could take advantage of the situation by explaining some things about nature and about how wild animals live. There are kids that now very little about animals that live in the wilderness and this might be a good way f teaching them some things about this. You would be surprised to see how attentive they will be. Showing your kids how vegetables grow can also be something that you could do. As most of them think that tomatoes grow in supermarkets.
Summer is the season when you can spend most of your time outside so it would be a shame not to do this. If you have a holiday planned think about going in the countryside, your kid and you will enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful landscapes.
