Eliminating The Problems With Online Testing And Evaluation

Virtual education has long had difficulties with testing and evaluation. In particular, the submission of testing material is quite fair and straightforward that guarantees that its availability to a student. Hence, he/she can consider it any time he/she wants. However, the process testing itself is rather challenging and problematic, as online programs are not insured with strict control over cheating in tests and examinations due to the lack of tutors attention. A completely different situation is in the class when a tutor can monitor students visually and uphold an integral atmosphere within a learning group. In order to solve the problem with testing, there are different ways to set online students in a control setting.

What are the methods of controlling the results of students?

1.There are specific assignments which are much larger than usual ones and tutors impose particular deadlines on them to prevent students from cheating.

2.Sometimes the assignments are conducted online vie videoconference and a tutor is able to monitor the process more carefully.

3.Finally, the last chance to make sure that the assignment is accomplished in a proper way, students should write them in a traditional way. This means that they should go to a college to take an exam.

Types of examinations provided by online programs:

1.CLEP.

Recently, the College Board has fostered its College Level Examination Program tests. These tests are highly approved as they fit the bills of various degree templates. The tests can be also applied to online education. They have about 100 multiple choice questions.

DSST

This standardized subject test is often used to cover the subject areas that are not considered in CLEP tests. The tests are controlled in reputable testing centers and they are strictly proctored to avoid cheating.
