Tired Of The Uk? Australia Could Be Calling

If you were to pack up your bags and jump on the next plane out of England, it's highly unlikely that anyone would hold it against you.

Once a prosperous country that seemed to be so attractive to people from all across the globe, the UK as a whole is suffering the after effects of the recession which has gripped the nation - and the globe - over the past few years.

Whilst the worst - the actual recession itself - is over, there is no doubt that hard times are ahead and unfortunately, to combat a difficult economic situation means there needs to be strict rules and regulations in place.

Fortunately, the Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government are more than aware of this and rather than make small changes here and there, they have come to power and dived straight in with major plans, including a 25 percent reduction in the amount of public sector spending. Couple this with a 2.5 percent increase in VAT from the start of 2011 and whilst no one is particularly happy about these measures, everyone knows deep down that they are necessary.

This, however, doesn't make the UK a comfortable place financially to live in at the moment and therefore if you're sick and tired of life here, you always have the option to emigrate - and Australia is they key place for many.

Australia immigration figures from the UK have always been high. Whether you look at several centuries ago when unruly citizens were sent there as a punishment to the more recent times where according to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship in the country, 109,778 people moved to reside Down Under permanently in the last 6 months of 2009 alone, there has always been a continuous flow of people making the move to the other side of the world.

And specifically in the last few decades, it's no wonder why.

As a country that is located in the southern hemisphere, Australia benefits from some fantastic year round climates (dependant upon where you live in the country).

Take residence on the east or west coasts and along with beautifully warm summers that can be spent wiling the hours away on any one of the numerous golden beaches, the winters are relatively mild, with snow in these areas being a rarity.

If - for some reason - you're looking for something a little more like the climate in the UK, you can look on the northern coast, where it's more likely to rain, be comfortable in the summer and a lot cooler in the winter.

What else is particularly attractive about Australia is simply its way of life. People Down Under have become accustomed to the beautiful weather and understand that although work is important, it's not there is all to do in life, preferring to spend the late afternoons and evenings around barbecues with friends than working harder to get higher up the corporate ladder.

Australia immigration statistics are likely to be high for several years to come as until the country in effect becomes full, it's expected that there'll be a continual stream of people knocking at the border doors.
