The Perpetual Eternity Ring

In a world where things evaporates away easily and nothing good seems to hang around long enough, the fear of losing something or someone you love clings with those who are fortunate enough to have reasons for having those fears. It may well be that the very fear itself, the sense of fragility and temporality, brings a strange sense of serenity in the things and people we love. And more still, if there exists, a sort of a promise that something will last for eternity, it may further enhance the beauty of the object in question. The eternity ring symbolizes that kind of promise, a promise that something, like a love, will last for eternity. That it will never end.

The eternity rings, the tangible symbols of loves meant to last for eternity, have become one of the most popular types of rings people buy, wear, and give. They are also sometimes called dressed wedding rings or infinity rings. With the perpetual loop symbolizing unending, eternal love, makes them popular gifts for occasions like anniversaries, or celebrating a birthday, or the coming into this world of a new born child. Of course it can be just simply a gift for someone you love, any time of the year.

Eternity rings are normally made from a precious metal like gold or platinum, or with more affordable metals like sterling silver. They are set with a full circular row of precious or semi precious stones, like diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald, or cubic zirconia. Stones set in eternity rings can be of all types of cuts, whether round or princess cuts. They can be set in prong, channel, or other types of settings. Eternity rings are worn together with wedding and engagement rings, or on the right hand as fashion rings. The prices of the rings, of course, depends mostly on the type of the metal used and the type, quality, size, and number of stones used.

In the famous letters written by the great composer Ludwig van Beethoven to his Immortal Beloved, he ended one of the letters with the words ever thine, ever mine, ever ours. And Beethovens Immortal Beloved is still remembered to this day and will still be remembered as long as Beethovens music lasts. Not all of us are Beethovens. But we can also show our beloveds that our loves are meant for eternity, with a gift of an eternity ring. After all, the circle is a never ending

perpetual thing.
