Hair Curling In Kids

Are you interested in curling your childs hair? There are two methods using a curling iron and a sponge curler. These styling products help in curling your kids hair temporarily. The curling iron is easier as it wont take much time but if you are opting for a more lasting curl your child could go for the sponge curls.

Firstly you have to clean your childs hair and dry it completely. If any water content is present it may damage the hair by burning it. You have to part her hair into various manageable sections. Hold one of the sections and slide the curling iron from the root to the tips. Hold the curling iron in that position for a period of time till the section of hair gets heated. This process is to be applied to all sections of hair. After the whole process, apply a hair spray so that the new stylish curls would stay for a long period of time.

If you opt for the sponge rollers you should wash her and should not dry as sponge rollers are more effective when hair is wet. Part her hair into various sections. If you start curling from the back of her head and then towards the front the process become very easy. The hair sections towards the face should be concentrated more and all of her hair should be folded into the sponge rollers. After removing the sponge rollers, apply the hair spray. This helps in setting the newly formed curls. With the slight movement you can comb her hair and separate all the curls and then also apply the hair spray. By applying hair spray, her new hairdo look more beautiful will stay for a long period of time.

Tips

Be careful when curling your kids hair towards the scalp portion and near the face as her skin is more sensitive than adults. Otherwise the hot curling iron may cause some adverse effects.

If she has thick hair, blow dry it while using the sponge rollers. You can dry the hair after rolling all hair and inserting them into the rollers. If not blow dried, thick hair will not be dried within the next morning.
